The Consultation

At Brewood Skin Clinic we are just crazy about Profhilo^® for so many reasons.  The improvement in the skins tone and texture is unique.  It stimulates bioremodelling which is an innovative approach to anti-ageing which counteracts skin laxity of the face and in areas traditionally difficult to treat, such as neck, décolleté and arms.

The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes and involves 10 injections per area (ie face or neck).  An initial course of 2-3 treatments is required; dependant on age, current skin texture etc (this will be determined at your consultation) and then maintenance treatments are required approximately 1 every three months after initial course. Treatment is suitable for the majority of clients and it is a very low risk procedure.

As part of your consultation, Sarah will also assess your skin in-depth using the Eventis® Skin Analysis camera, allowing a better understanding of what is happening just underneath the skin surface. This serves not only as a good tool to plan treatment, but it enables us to have a starting point to refer to, allowing more reliable treatment reviews. Also, at consultation Sarah offers food intolerance testing, these can be especially helpful when tackling stubborn skin concerns like acne or Rosacea, along with many other health issues.

It is during the consultation that Sarah will prescribe an effective skin health journey to you, including everything from homecare regimes, nutritional supplements and in clinic treatments as appropriate.

How does it work?

Profhilo^® contains the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid and delivers prolonged efficacy without the addition of cross-linking chemical agents, allowing the product to diffuse out from the injection site under the skin.  It integrates with the surrounding tissue where it restores the levels of Hyaluronic acid naturally found in the skin.  Clinical data confirms that improvements in skin texture, elasticity and hydration occur with immediate effect.  A specially developed injection technique reduces pain, downtime and the number of treatment sessions, making it the perfect lunch-time procedure.

Profhilo^® is ‘Biocompatible, enabling it to integrate into the tissue where it restores the levels of hyaluronic acid found in the skin.  A series of injection points are carefully measured and marked out, then the product is injected slowly into the skin, with minimal discomfort.
