The Consultation
At Brewood Skin Clinic we offer an hour-long consultation prior to your Illumifacial® treatment giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to allow Sarah to fully explain the treatment to you, whilst assessing for any possible contraindications. A patch test will be required prior to the commencement of treatment to assess clinical indicators. From this appointment, your first treatment appointment can be booked if you wish to proceed.
A course of treatment is recommended initially, followed by maintenance treatments as required.
As part of your consultation, Sarah will also assess your skin in-depth using the Eventis® Skin Analysis camera, allowing a better understanding of what is happening just underneath the skin surface. This serves not only as a good tool to plan treatment, but it enables us to have a starting point to refer to, allowing more reliable treatment reviews. Also, at consultation Sarah offers food intolerance testing, these can be especially helpful when tackling stubborn skin concerns like acne or Rosacea, along with many other health issues.
It is during the consultation that Sarah will prescribe an effective skin health journey to you, including everything from homecare regimes, nutritional supplements and in clinic treatments as appropriate.

How Does It Work?
Illumifacial® is the next generation in Lynton’s highly successful ‘Photofacial’ treatments, using a unique combination of Lynton’s Specialist Tri-Fruit Acid Peel with powerful, medical-grade IPL technology.
This quick and simple facial treatment dramatically improves skin tone and appearance, helping your skin feel and look its best. The Illumifacial® is an advanced skin treatment, which uses multiple technologies all within the one session. You start with fruit acid peel, which is specifically designed to work alongside medical grade IPL technology. So, in affect it’s a treatment that is designed to give you multifaceted benefits; brightening and illuminating the skin to create a flawless appearance. As well as deeply hydrating and giving you a more youthful glow.
Lynton’s Tri-Fruit Peel containing Glycolic Acid, Malic Acid, Tartaric Acid and Salicylic Acid, prepares the skin perfectly to receive the IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) enabling better penetration of the light, facilitating increased target (skin discolouration) take up.
You may experience some tingling as the peel is applied and some heat from the IPL component but overall, the treatment is relatively comfortable and perfectly manageable in a lunch break. Minimal downtime is necessary, and this is the perfect preparation for either a special event or just to maintain bright, glowing illuminescent skin. A course of treatments will always give optimal results; however, standalone treatments are still highly beneficial.

How Much Is It?
Ready to Book Lyntons Illumifacial®
Prior to the commencement of treatment, a consultation, including patch test is required to ensure suitability for treatment. Treatment varies dependant on treatment area but is typically 45minutes to an hour and is suitable for men, women and non-binary patients.
