The Consultation
All treatment journeys will begin with a one-hour-long consultation with Sarah to assess suitability and to explain the treatment process, what to expect, and aftercare. This is also an opportunity for Sarah to complete a detailed medical and lifestyle history and establish if any contraindications to treatment need to be considered.
During your consultation, you can also expect to have a detailed skin Imaging Analysis performed. This allows Sarah to see what’s happening just underneath the skin’s surface. An indicator of ‘what’s coming’ if you like. This makes absolutely certain, appropriate treatment is prescribed. This is also a wonderful opportunity for each patient to see just how much damage has occurred over the years and can be repeated periodically to see how much improvement the correct treatments and homecare can actually make.
At this stage, Sarah will also prescribe an individualised homecare regime, including both skincare and skin-specific oral supplements. In some cases, Sarah will prescribe homecare alone to start with as its sometimes necessary to improve the skin’s overall condition prior to commencing any in-clinic treatments.
Alternatively, if you just crave some tried and tested skincare advice and would like a bespoke skincare regime prescribed for you, but do not wish to go down the clinical treatment route, you are welcome to see Brewood Skin Clinic as the most amazing “Skin Shop” where you are welcome to come along, have a homecare regime consultation and Sarah will guide you on the best possible products for you. When it’s time to restock you are welcome to pop in and pick up some more or Sarah can send replenishments out to you.
